Sunday morning Chukars and Ringnecks with the boys

Recommended Posts

A buddy and I took our boys to his bird club this morning and had a blast, literally! As soon as we pulled into the farm, the snow started falling, coming down heavy at times. Within an hour, we already had an inch on the ground and conditions for the dog were good with a good wind.

Watching a good pointer work the fields is truly amazing. His Vizsla didn't miss a bird and we took lots of pics and videos in the snow. The boys' barrels were hot as we only backed them up when necessary which was not often.

Going to make pheasant cutlet parm as usual tomorrow, but we are really looking forward to trying the Chukars..

Some pics attached below...

Field to table.

The cutlets came out good. Made the chukars the same way as the pheasant, their breast meat is slightly darker.  Very good, first time trying them for me. Not as sweet as the pheasant, but delicious.
