Ok, so what I learned from you guys is that the best primers, especially for Blackhorn 209 is the Winchester 209 (for shotshells), CCI 209M, and Federal 209A.

With current scarcity, I'm getting what I can get. I'm going to be shooting 300 grain Powerbelt Aerolites out of a CVA Optima V2, using Pyrodex RS. Can I use less hot primers since the Aerolites fly best using 100 grains of powder?

If so, which ones? Anybody using this exact setup?

What are the issues with Powerbelts?  My brother continues to have success with them.

I have over the last few years seen complaints on expansion

I've been using T/C Shockwaves forever. They are marginal at best. Never lost a deer, but the track jobs are stressful sometimes.  I will be trying Barnes Xpanders and Hornady SST Low Drag this off season.

I love the load with three Triple Seven Pellets. Deadly accurate.

Sometimes the plastic skirt comes off in the barrel causing the bullet to tumble. When that happens it can be two feet off target at 50 yards.
