They’re an invasive pest species so whatever works works is my view on it

Feral hogs exist in jersey? I only ever heard of them out in western PA

I knew there were some but didnt think anyone got more than 1 ever.  Do youknow any other people that did too?

I’ve gotten 3 my brother probably 6 and my dad and grandpa have taken a few too.

we’re not the only ones it’s kept quiet. The state hired a group to trap put locator collars on some then go in after they regrouped and wiped them out. There’s a golf course very close to this area that also hired a group to get rid of them as well.

it was fun while it lasted but for sure you couldn’t miss where they were, the ground looked like a rototiller went around

It’s not hunting, it’s exterminating a dangerous to the ecosystem introduced species.  You can use full auto in Texas for wild hogs.

I was actually curious about this topic for this season - does anybody know of or seen any this season? I know its shoot on site for them, and this issue is more to the southern states. But I'm curious if anybody has seen any in the state or neighboring states.

I’ve hunted hogs in Texas a few times, they are massively destructive on farm land and deer herds. My friend has 700 acre farm we hunt, once the hogs move in they chase all the deer out and root up the fields. They’re fun to hunt yes, but they need to be eradicated. You can basically kill them with any means down there except for poison. Most people don’t even take the meat after them shoot em, just simply let em lay.
