Anything would be better than what it is now.

Just turn back time to the 70's.  Only way to bring deer(buck and doe) back is to stop the doe slaughter. To get bigger bucks there needs to be bigger restrictions put on and sacrifices from us.

Any legal firearm, 7days(1st sat to sat in Dec), change it to any 1 buck.   1 doe or 1 buck with 4 to one side or better following Wednesday for all firearms, and last week in January for Muzzleloader only.

Archery- 1 buck 1 doe.  Traditional archery- last 2 weeks in Sept, any buck.  Trad & compound- 1st 2 weeks in Oct, 4 pts to one side or better.   All archery- last 2 weeks in Oct, 4 pts to one side or better, and any buck 1st 3 weeks in January.

Nov for small game only

$50 licence to hunt covers everything/$50 to fish

There would be way too many deer in areas I hunt.

Good ideas from everyone.

I'd eliminate out of state hunting licenses for Deer and/or ban anyone from doing deer drives on any public land.

After a few years of watching everyone and their mother roll in from Pensyltucky with their rusty pickup brigade and beat the shit out of every WMA in the area by 9am opening day, I gave up on 6-day entirely.

I would like to see only (4) changes:

1) separate public regulations from private land.  Severely cut deer bag limits on public land including state parks, forests, WMA, municipal, and county land

2) button buck (or antlers less than 3”) kills should utilize a buck tag NOT antlerless tag

3) allow a lesser weapon in each season.  Example: permit shotgun should allow muzzy and bow also

4) game violations should have severe consequences.  Particularly revolving around trespassing and poaching.  Trespassing is basically legal for first time offenders, what a joke!

They will NOT go for an overall license increase because that is a “tax” that must be approved by state legislature and not by Fish & Game Council

Actually the State Statutes are a base fee.  The FW Council can adjust the fees annually without the approval of the legislature.

Is this some sort of fantasy hunting league Thread?

Dreaming?

Wishful thinking?

This is NJ!  Management is really $$$. Not only from licenses, permits stamps, ect but also from sales tax.

Don't give the FW Council any ideas because they will only see ideas that dig deeper into our pockets.

Talking ill of the king like that will get u locked in the tower sir.

They don't need ideas from us to find ways to increase their revenue.  They've been doing it.  Yes it is fantasy.  We can dream of having good hunting in NJ, can't we?  It's all we really have left after politics took control.
