venison chilli(dutch oven)

plan was to cook over open fire but plans changed so i used my grill over lump wood charcoal. i used my 10" dutch oven. browned the vension with onions, jalos, sweet green pepper, chives and minced garlic.

then added in diced tomatoes, tomatoe paste, chilli seasoning, and brown sugar. moved dutch oven over to the cooler side of grill. placed 2 hot coals under the dutch oven and let simmer for 30 min. 

served with grated cheese and bread. pretty good.

now its time to re season the cast iron because tomatoes are acidic and eat away the seasoning build up on the iron. labor of love.
