What time is first shooting light

If sunrise is 0640 legal shooting is 0610, I’m in my stand no later then 0540.

I like to give the woods a little time to settle from my walk in and climb up.

Ya it’s crazy. I’m lucky enough to have an email from DEP stating it does not have to be from the digest. Had a CO challenge me and I showed him the email and he let me walk

To answer your question

1/2 hour before sunrise to 1/2 hour after sunset

Sunrise today was 6:37 in Hopewell  per regulation would be 6:07 today.

I go by a very basic rule of thumb. I Google sunrise time for the day I plan on hunting, and I get into my stand exactly 1 hour before. So if sunrise is 0620 in setup by 0520.

I believe it used to say "shooting time" . Time to reread the hunting laws. Therefore, is it illegal to load your gun in a treestand prior to "hunting time" ?
