Nothing wrong with my Lone Wolfs, just wanted to shed some weight.

Pros- solid build, digs into tree with ease, like the doublestep.

Cons- the straps are a bit too slippery, buckle sometimes needs to be pushed down to catch and buckle way too shiny. I HATE the suction cups...could not even separate two of them in the cold the other morning, had to ground hunt. Later on, took two of us to pull apart!

I have since removed suction cups and threw the Lone Wolf straps on...now they're great...two strapped to each side of my Badlands pack.

I like the sections.  To seperate tilt to one side or the other.  Its a lipped end that hold it

Maybe they are too new (tight). Seems like overkill inserting all the way perhaps...

I have the full length today was first time using them

I used LW hardware on 1/16 aluminum tubing cut to 24". With aiders I get 44" of stepping height and they are less than 2 lbs with daisy chain webbing a straps.

I almost made the switch bc I liked the suction cup idea - glad I didn’t, now! Sweet set up! Need/Using an aider with those steps?

They are really not suction cups.  I dont have an issue with mine

I don't use an aider, I try to use cover (like a cluster of trees), instead of going super high.

About how high do you get with them?

Without an aider, spacing them 1 stick apart, you'll wind up around 13' at top of top stick.
