Big non-typical down

So with all the buck activity I have seen this week and shooting a great buck last night. I decided to hunt a stand deep in the woods just on the edge of a bedding area. I have had multiple cameras back there all season and have gotten multiple pictures of some good bucks. One of the bucks I’m after was in front of my stand yesterday at 12:45. So I got in the stand this afternoon around 1pm. It was a beautiful afternoon. So after couple hours. I started looking at my phone. Which I try not to do. I look up and I see this buck cruising at about 80 yards. He was on a mission but stopped. I hit him with three deep grunts and his head snapped in my direction and started my way. He rubbed a tree on the way in and rubbed a second tree only 20 yards from. My stand.  All this time I’m trying to keep my video camera on him so I haven’t picked up my crossbow yet. He stops in the open at about 15 yards and starts sniffing ground. At this point I figure it was time for me to try and pick up my crossbow and take a shot. Just as I got the bow to my shoulder he pick up my movement and stared to move off quick but I figured he would stop to look back. He did. I was on him and squeezed off the shot hitting him quartering away. I saw blood instantly. I knew he was dead on his feet as he went crashing off. I saw him go down get back up and make his final crash. Needless to say I’m on cloud nine with the past two days of outstanding hunting I have part of. I will be working on the videos and hopefully get them posted soon.
