Out in 50.  blank so far except for 1 distant mystery deer at dawn

Sitting in 36.  Decided to wear the heavy gloves this morning and use my kids xbow in my ambush spot.  Its a nice elevated ridge on a pinch point near a swamp.  Ive taken a few nice ones here over the years and haven’t  hunted here since ‘16.  Stay warm and good luck!

Had all kinds of noises just before dawn myself.  First light, everything went dead.  This is not the hunt I was thinking about all week .  October lull giving me one final kick in the crotch this morning.

Damn full moon. Up all night sleep all day. Worst hunt of season. Bet mid day will move. The saddest part of this Hunt is looking at 12 dead red oak trees that were alive and producing acorns last year all completely dead in one year very disturbing

Active morning here. I had a target 8 skirt around me at 35 yards. Before I could even start second guessing myself I watched a nice 10 pointer work the opposite side of the powerline. Then a six pointer came scampering through not knowing what was going on. The does must be in hiding.

Quiet here too. I could here snorting on the ridge above me around eight. Nothing came down.
