NJ land lease scam

My club leased some land this year and we have had some issues. The land was my club and 4 extra guys to cover costs. Theres been 12 people there that all say they leased the land from the same person I did. The land owner said he believes people from last years lease are still going there because the combo is changed. We changed the code and gave it to the owner. He then must have given it out because tonight 3 new people never seen before show up, unlock the gate and say there here to help the lady with her bear. We have no lady! And have never seen a lady there! WTFFF MF is going on! Are they trespassing? Is that poaching? Its a bunch of BS

You would think the land owner should be able to sort it all out. Wonder if he didn't have income or was getting  old.

Everything is in an email. The landowner said he does nothing with the property it is the land managers responsibility. When the 12 other people question the land manager about the deal not being what they agreed to either he does not return calls or says he is not involved in it anymore. We got Fd hard on this one and for a small club with not a lot of $ we took a big blow.

Someone or both got their money more than twice over.

can you tell me if this is close to Vernon close to rt 23? if it is same scam has been running for years..

It is not. The land is in Hampton Twp

It would be interesting to have a friend contact the land owner and see if he could hunt on the land or lease it and see what the owner says. If he offers it up you know for sure he is shady.

This is what small claims court is all about. Emails are “in writing”.

 I found it on here. A couple of the other guys said they found it on Facebook somewhere. 250ac

Not the first time I've heard of "land manager" leasing it out to different groups/hunters.  But I've heard it down here in South Jersey.

Time to report this scam to the local PD to look at. If he is leasing the same property to different groups this could be a criminal matter.
