Fun day on the Water

Finally able to get out and fish. Just my 77 year old uncle Neil and I. Decided to try some bottom fishing.  Got some crabs and clams and some spearing. Only fished one spot all day. Re-dropped the anchor one time cause the tide changed. We caught all day, Blackfish, trigger fish, fluke, seabass, blowfish, bluefish, porgies, a northern Puffer and a tiny Cobla.

We caught 14 fluke to 22" tones of seabass to 19" and blackfish to 18"

Awesome day Johnny! What a variety of fish. Nj sucks for closing fluke season. N.Y. still open!

Those bottom fish will pull the fork tails backwards .

doesnt get much better than black fishing in a light shirt in shallow water .

they really pull when they aren’t getting the Benz

Yeah tomorrow forcast is just as good. I would go back out but have a engagement/graduation party I have to go too

Nice haul, 154 !  I'll be out tonight for blues. My one day of fishing for the year.  Hoping to stock up on fillets .
