My fiancé and I have recently expanded our camping interests to include hiking.. Would love to meet another couple/group to partake in the out door fun! We can't just bring a friend.. No body is prepared for overnight treks

Where do you guys normally hike?

We camp everywhere we can. We are still pretty new with hiking. We are going to wharton forest next weekend and the batona trail in late sept/early oct

We day hike the AT in Jersey a couple of times each year with the students.  The current plan is to hike the Gap to Sunfish Pond in October and Camp Mohican to Sunfish Pond in November.

 

The less fit students call me bad names when I bring them up the Vernon Stairs.

I've been on the sunfish pond portion both in summer and winter....

 

It was 18 degrees one winter and I was at the top near the lookout and boy it was freezing!
