Trapline Pics

Recommended Posts

Just wanted to share some Trapline pictures taken during New Jersey Zone 2 Beaver Season a couple of years ago. At this beaver flowage, the set locations jumped right out at me. There are two almost identical pictures of properly set #330 Victor Conibears in well defined beaver "Runs".  The #330's are set on top of a KB Stabilizer. Dive sticks and the additional blocking were added to ensure a catch. The picture with the large log that the extension cable is secured to is a beaver "Den Set". The #330 conibear is stabilized with a commercial "Tall Stand".  All three of these sets produced beaver. The waterfall picture is a classic "Waterfall Set". This is a great mink set location. There is not a mink running this creek that will not hunt up behind this waterfall. Depending on the water depth, this could either be set with a  body gripping trap, or a Quick Kill.
