I guarantee this wasn't broad head failure, g5 monetec. Red circle is exit.  Deer went over 300 yrds and I knew I made a good shot.  Some things cant be explained.

because you have to sharpen them.. If  they are dull, the vein and arteries just roll around them.   I never shot them but I have sharpened for many hunters and noted how difficult they were to get as sharp as the VPA - same head basically except VPA has softer steel but no welds full machined steel -  Montecs have  harder steel and harder to sharpen and are welded...    Need to ensure you are shooting shaving sharp before firing a shot and I suspect far too many buy these types and do not keep them sharp or know how to sharpen

I've killed a bunch of deer. I've  shot thunder heads, muzzys, montecs, and grim reapers. Last year I decided to try rage. The hype is real. I'll never shoot another head besides rage again

Agreed. I’ve never had them fail like some claim. Never had a deer go further than 50 yards. Insane blood trails. (my earlier post was a joke)
