Whiting and Haddock and ling oh my

My son and I headed up to Eastmans on the njfishing charter.  We caught a bunch of whiting, but they were mostly small.  Got some nice haddock and ling too, and also a couple pollock.  My son got a nice cod that had to go back.  Fishing was in water from 270 to 330 feet deep, but we were able to use 10-12 oz sinkers.  I have some whiting in a brine now to go in the smoker tomorrow.   There was a fantastic sunrise and we had a seal hang around the boat a while. A big thresher slapped the water with it's tail10 feet from the boat.  Overall it was a solid trip.

I was just talking about making that trip for especially whiting.

Lady Audrey  and Lady Virginia.   We fished 2 days.

Great trip. I love the deep wreck fishing, always a great time. December trips on the voyager to the texas tower is a great trip to do. For jumbo seabass,

awesome Dennis  - i gotta figure a seal way out there is on a suicide mission?  Or maybe they are adapting to the GW crush on the shoreline hunting them, and the smart ones are moving to the deep?

Haddock is far better than cod, Pollock, or scrod. Great eating & far underrated. Sounds like a great trip!!
