Ladybirds bear mount- behind the scenes

Recommended Posts

@Lady Bird killed a very large bear (444# live weighr and B&c) last season and I had the honor to mount it.

The pose she chose did not have a form the size we needed so I had to chop it up over and resize it until it finally fit nicely.

You can see in the photos the test fit had way too much skin bunched up and after numerous expansions and test fitting I was able to get the skin to fit nicely. Original form in the first pic. I threw out that old style head and replaced it with a new state of the art design. (Taxidermy supplies have come a long way) im aure the pics will be out of order but enjoy!945a40b68a6ca660c39fc74b3e63b500.jpg&key=9fa1ed059b646e64a8d55bef253f46d47bb0b9ca637ab132a5ececc02ead31d4f788267b6e9c4207afda4055a50c3fdc.jpg&key=16254402e04d942a1896ed9c47f86d7d6d7be5f027ed8dd30cdb920decabaee52a90a885e6a0f3685bdfa629df9d8e1c.jpg&key=e15795f70e9390d64663ee9f1607fd9a296cdb2bd3d243009f090442624b4f28e699e65f085c8cb4e8d5718472988a3c.jpg&key=6133abd9b5e9b7080a506d9f6d6c2bdfa65a6277cd5b0330109571076c1198b627043508ba9af506abf842cdb5b102f9.jpg&key=3424d83d7ec06050e2c158d29a633e1b10890b55c7548dfca61a631a8822c985d1f39b8ef4dd083950d10253368a1fe7.jpg&key=9c0d24aa4e399ea775f271a1faf53bd6054ddbf32bb7197072e163cc39dd1f8f868905f9260242500a48e204861f79c1.jpg&key=71ad58bf2956b87eb6fb2311ff6157ee13266259fadb5ca9ada24b363bfacd821f86bfd8819b15715be12154a9bab9bc.jpg&key=27ee9cdb4603d88bcbb9724c8150c5cd903771b9d5a65d2aa211ce2427435020a4c90efc5eacc648a51acf79bcfd72f5.jpg&key=a90b36a3fee684336c0332d54bf31fe6d50bc12f7f6c5ecf6b7305292e60a6d1101c653043da969555f9a82dcdfbeb1a.jpg&key=2754fc47b0da5f8d5ad72da6c795ef43e22eb6993f0e7b42d23373fe10ebf690ae197356aec5bf88be604fac25bf3a02.jpg&key=5581f7ad0798cde9930443c66a6d60ab15fda82e802ab66befe4c67af4943c4d737d2e8f879d7a4cda3165c0e8a16e31.jpg&key=deb02ea21cc164fde410aed960d8b30865930e358e17a30165bede5fcbd660e91737400a05a80ba9c0a6abaa35d645df.jpg&key=f5e55b51dcac886619d5783fa2be195687cf55ca0968404c0cc2f0610fd6830d08f7c5dcc501a6acafc8db14cfec61f2.jpg&key=7e5c96a8fcffcf4a4cee752243803e031d9411d050ed06f9b42b9f10857e63fe8cea49f36010878695896fcaca895a48.jpg&key=efe3245f01599d65577607be2e295ca319e839d4b06d262659597cd00378fe508b06b12f3d4594b22b5105c942542a9c.jpg&key=974af6a966b0ebab546ca7c094eca37d1e0b13ca842b7daa47e6752a238d783bf1f0e271c2997437b79087b515d9623b.jpg&key=5b5e5552939bf7fdb03f08ef10997039c1d9ec4012d796af0bfba35c474232fbe6909c5e8f590b9cf99b8747e2e09f75.jpg&key=76c4e6a198dd517a411f81f5b41df51ebd34df53ec833393094b4cd23fee44abb66b1815c10ccd948be2d4adcaa4ca68.jpg&key=921a42c6f6070947db13572ca55bd926b522b709352df3b62586e2bb77d5de477abd58ab596fd640aa47c0c13f38a756.jpg&key=0d9267c62433a083e619ac7583a0f0c17f6e9d99c5e2909f6c2f785120604a713600363e61112cd52726ceb65dafc098.jpg&key=2e9ff0a0be7a4c1f99ed7b2f1fec7184e918c8cc4ebbc3b98e58261ab770265685792e0fce2e85133859ce9a0b5f3683.jpg&key=38390ef82088060f6fe0c6e58e3f73bfb5c19fcadcaa963abfa574c1b47e82d92c535a7afabb0afb5ec174bb70b9a1ca.jpg&key=e2a6ac62182480f752a06e61141dbd0592ac864aae0570945fb9c6009f7e6391f647a8d4ed7a17c719b609e8a7a7e8db.jpg&key=2c039073412ee795be364da492f5e104c08fd2b996658120dd6929d16c25e53f1279b6f7233d086c6a69682537c7839c.jpg&key=e2b71212636572ce58bb40bd708baaeaa8f736dfc363baf0baa7d3c221a0094538adaa2b8454b09b7dce6a38e3f5ab29.jpg&key=961a4c177994b62bf08a289baff6ef8c3ce220ff0fe1ef1a44d7ae36e4660974c321d6bdac48f59683261f122b62274a.jpg&key=fc6b71f44b69c7a74e8eedc61a38686d93314f05bd7bbdac9a2618094d0ecea5
