Your covert needs a solar panel with a external battery

My main concern was with the camera facing the sunrise for the solar power to work do you get alor of morning shots that are not visible from sun glare?

you can have the camera face one way and the solar panel another way

Solar panel aimed south. Camera aimed north ideally, anywhere but south.  East or west and you'll deal with sunrise/sunset glare.

The solar panel faces the same way as the camera (not adjistable)and its facing east. Rarely do I get a bright or dark pic I cant make out.

Got my first one set up.  Doing trials.  So far so good.  
 

First issue is the picture viewing in the app.  They need bulk select for operations like deleting and moving to a gallery.  They also need swiping between pics versus open and close.

Also no format of card via app.  It isn't part of the menu but it is there when in setup if you hit the up arrow.  
 

Hopefully next version of the firmware has some good updates!

I was wondering if they'd interfere at all.  Will the AAs be a backup source if used?

I'm not sure if they act as a back up if the solar panel has issues, or the batteries will be used in at the same time with the solar panel

I bought one of these and have had it operational for about 2 weeks. So far, I’m really happy with it. The pictures are very good quality and the battery is lasting surprisingly well. I get between 20-25 pictures sent a day and the battery still shows at 99% using energizer lithium batteries. My only complaint is that I have my camera set to take three pictures at a time, but only get one picture sent. I called the company and they told me that as of now, only the second picture sends, but they are working to get that changed within the next couple of updates.

I also bought two of these and they have been working very well just wish I had some shooters on cam. A lot of bears and small bucks.
