MRMCR 1,320
So we had ribs, brisket and pork shoulder........ribs were great, tender and tasty.......all the times Ive ever had brisket it was not great ( many times not good ) this was no exception, the brisket was just ok......the pork shoulder seemed tough.......doing all 3 at once may have been harder by not varying the temps.......and the chips do run out so you do need to be around for most of the time......about 8 hours.........ribs are gone but Ill be eating the other stuff all week........and the dog was very happy as well..........i was worried a bunch of dogs would smell the smoke and surround my house............. not on the rug 4,138
Ribs, brisket and pork shoulder can all be done at the same temperature, but take wildly different amounts of time. Say for example you're smoking at 225...ribs are usually done in between 4-5 hours, pork shoulder between 10-12 and brisket in 14-16. How long did you smoke for and at what temperature? archer36
