Left in heavy fog with Tracey to sea bass before the closure .

had the grounds to ourselves for almost an hour .

Then as shown in the attached radar picture it got crowded quick.

200 yard visibility at times .

fog burned off and came back to white out conditions  a few times over the next 2 hours .

Easy limit again of nice knuckleheads  all on jigs ,

back at the dock at 10;30.

boats were stacked up in front of the fogged in inlet when we got back to SRI.

couldnt see the bridge from the jetty ...

‘Rainbows all over in the fog today , but pics can’t really see them well

Nice job. Thick fog can be scary. It is not what you do, it is what others are doing. Radar helps but it’s a weird feeling when you hear a boat go by but you can’t see it

a

Need to trust your electronics , and really watch what others are doing .

too many guys out there without radar , and in crowds can turn ugly quick .

i saw a mile before the inlet they were stacked up at the bridge , and slowed way down .

if that fog was inside the river with all the small boat traffic it would def be a mess . Luckily it usually stops at the bridge .

My hockey buddy was hit on a clear day anchored at SB rocks  bottom fishing. It was a well publicized accident few years back. He was severally injured, never returned to play hockey, and his relative was killed. The boat that hit him was a very well known owner of charter boats in NJ and Florida. Shit happens quick and yes electronics help.

Good haul.  I was out Saturday too.  4 guys, we had 39 seabass, 28 ling, 3 fluke(1 keeper), 4 blues and a couple blackfish(released).  Jigs were better for the keeper seabass.

Saturday was a much nicer day than Sunday just because of the fog .

had a limit with Eddie Saturday also .

i like jigging for sea bass just because it does weed out the shorts a little easier than bait ..

‘and crazy difference how much nicer you get from just a 13 1/2” fish over a normal 12 1/2” keeper .

actually had some whiting hit the jigs also .
