This is the second year that these have returned. They are doing a number on my pine looking bush. Anyone know what they are?? I really don't care about the bush as I'm planning on cutting them out in the fall and planting something else. I'm just curious as to what these are, you can hear them from a distance as they crunch on the needles .

Luny is right .  Use to get them on my Moms mugo pine bushes . You have to spray them ASAP or they will destroy those pines .

Spray them or have a company do it for you.

They will eat all the needles quickly, so don’t wait. My wife makes a generic spray for them that works perfectly and non toxic. She’s out walking or I’d ask for the recipe.

They love black pines and mugho pines .....no need to spray just squish them with your hands, it works..........or if so inclined wear a glove.............
