My Son and I took yesterday off to photograph warblers.  Rainy days are great fall-out days as the birds tend to drop out of the sky to feed.  The lighting is horrible on days like this.

Very nice., last time I saw this many was in cape may fall migration

We are birding all day tomorrow. If the wind subsides we expect a high tally.

Maybe I’ll will hit Sandy Hook. It sometimes traps migrating birds on the way North like Cape May does on the way south

I saw a pair of Scarlet tanagers in the Newark watershed today while it was snowing. They let me get amazingly close but the pics still came out crappy. You have to zoom way in.
