you obviously don't have a wood lathe and or do mass quantities of work at one time,  my shop is 60 feet away from my garage and I still track stuff in the house. Dah?

Ok no I do not have a wood lathe what are you turning?

I'll post them tomorrow when all finished for mother's day

Not a complete a$$ hole just one of the dingle berries that hang off it.

I have a full woodturning shop in my basement and it makes a TON of dust and noise! I also have an oil furnace and gas hot water heater  down there . My house has forced hot air / air conditioning.

To answer your question- its been years and i’ve Never had any major problems other than some that have already been mentioned.

i need to have the ducts cleaned yearly, i need a basement set of shoes and a clean pair for when i come back up, i have a Jet air filtration system which needs to be cleaned monthly, i use a high end dust vacuum to clean up after each project, and last but not least- do not come upstairs in your woodworking clothes and sit on your wife’s couch... bad idea.

good luck.
