Smitty was able to hook me up with some nice sized whiting .

been YEARS  since I have seen anything bigger than spikes .

Tracey stoked up both smokers today , and got them done this afternoon .

will get them in the chamber sealer tomorrow and have them for the next few months .

ALREADY have eaten five before the cooled .

They work fine .

they don’t really have great temperature control if wanting to smoke at less than 170 . 
but for general smoking 180/200 they work well .

pucks can be expensive if you don’t shop around , but I like that feature for not having to open the door to add chips .

 

not shown in pics is we also use a digital food thermometer . That’s has a magnet to hold it to the smoker .

it allows you to see the temps of the food in the smoker without opening the door .

they don’t cost much , but add a lot to the end results keeping the door closed until it’s time to remove the food
