I just put them in brine for 12 hrs then dry for 8hrs then smoke for 4-6 be ready Sunday

nice - not a fish I see much of anymore...  Thanks for sharing and bringing up some very very old memories when I used to go mackerel fishing on the Sea Devil with my dad.   We used to fill a garbage can with mackerel, whiting and ling...   Not sure what happened to that fishery but that was over years ago.

Ling  fishery used to be a blast mid winter , now it’s def a spring thing .

guys targeting ling this month could sink a boat .

Yea dan right now there’s a lot of ling there you should run out there something different. There on the north end of the hole on the East bank in 165 ling and whitting a lot more ling tether whitting
