You will need a big boat and a bigger anchor by Saturday! River will be dangerously high and Unfishable.

The river is going up as it is getting warmer. The shad are finally biting by all reports. The river is pretty much a wash right now. A lot of fish were being caught at the confluence of the Delaware and Lehigh. rivers. The Lehigh is a bit warmer and there is usually a good number of Lehigh born fish looking to find the fish ladder.

Don't be foolish in these river conditions.

Have you checked the river forecast? It will be at least 7 feet higher than it was when you posted by Saturday...   We are heading for flood stage...

I got some last night too... (hence my shad roe post), but it's been a brutal April... Actually got my first March shad ever in middle of March  (because March was April and now April became March and if you look out the window - April is going OUT like a lion and came in like a lamb).

Nothing spooks deer more than my stank…

Yeah the shad are there its just the water conditions are killing us and the closed ramp. I have been out in my boat and caught 15-20 each time out. Kayak a couple times and caught 3-5 each time.

"The river is angry my friend!" Unfortunately can not combine beautiful weather and conditions with optimum river conditions. It will take a bit before the river calms down. Running real high and very muddy right now. Probably spend the weekend washing and waxing the truck. You guys go out good luck and stay safe. Hoping the latter part of the week will be good.
