I had a couple of large ash taken down.

One was hollow from the base but the other was solid.  I had a section cut to 127” that is 40x38 at one end (through the center) and 35x37 at the thinner end.  Pics tomorrow.

Anyone know anyone who will mill wood onsite with a wood miser?

Believe it or not harbor freight has one of the highest rated mills on the market.
people say it’s one of the best entry level saws, easy on the pocket too.

You need one of these Oliver, park it next to your 5 smokers.

How do they get the first lengthwise flat cut in order to run the sled on top of after? :headscratch:
Hey Matt - while I've never actually done this, my understanding is that the operator will nail a piece of 2 by something on the top and they'll use this to run against.

What's your location? My friend has one in blairstown.  I THINK he gets $80 per hour to mill anything you want

I am in Bethlehem twp right across the river from Warren County’s Asbury.  That rate sounds reasonable to me.

I have a friend in Readington Township that has a portable saw mill, you can bring the logs to him or he will bring the mill to you. He does excellent work, PM me if you would like his number
