That was a joke to lighten up the mood at the time.  I don't believe that for a second!

Lung, I'm not wasting my time answering you.  You have made it perfectly clear that you just don't get some things.

When you have no answers you always end the same way:” you just don’t get it “

How do you hold a balloon?  Don't you think it's a really stupid question?

it’s not a stupid question. If it’s a ballon as you claim it is. How is it held in the same spot?

The light you are seeing is miles from earth. If what you are seeing was only 6,700’ up and only few miles away you would never even see it. Captain video

anyway

The stars will appear in almost the exact same spot each night as they were before at the same time.

The stars don't move but the earth does.

Take some pics on a tripod of some stars with white lights and blinking red and blue lights and get back to me.

I think Galileo did a sufficient job explaining this one.

Also, the Earth rotates about its axis and revolves around the Sun.

Let's not even start the with respect to what discussion.

Science teachers.  :shakehead:

It's not Uranus it's a government balloon that detects explosions.  I can see 3 of them from Wildwood.  They are in the sky every night in the same locations.  Look at it with binoculars it has red and blue blinking lights on it.  In the summer every weekend when the fireworks start they drop down rapidly.

Or do a search here.  It will tell you what you can and can't see.

I had the telescope outside with the kids on Tuesday night looking at Venus. Through the telescope you can tell that it's a planet and not a star

I haven't  looked through the telescope and years it's pretty cool. Nice way to spend time with your kids. I used to love watching Carl Sagan.https://www.wikihow.com/Tell-the-Difference-Between-Planets-and-Stars?amp=1
