Walleyes and Stripers

Been out twice with my buddy this year. Before he started taking me, I really wouldn't have known what I was doing without his guidance, in fact I probably never would have fished for Walleye and Hybrid Stripers, but 7 or 8 years ago he started taking me and it became one of my favorite types of fishing.

The pictures don't do these fish justice, but they are some real beaut's and fought like crazy. Fun to catch, even though they leave me dog tired after fishing until 3am.

Last night we boated 5 fish and lost 2 near the boat. I caught two walleye and Ryan caught 3 stripers.

Here's a few pictures.

“I have always tempered my killing with respect for the game pursued. I see the animal not only as a target, but as a living creature with more freedom than I will ever have. I take that life if I can, with regret as well as joy, and with the sure knowledge that nature’s way of fang and claw and starvation are a far crueler fate than I bestow.” – Fred Bear
