Tonights Longbeard

My Evening hunt accually started at 5:00 am this morning as I went out to my club to roost some birds. I used my owl call and got three birds to answer, I had a good idea what tree they were usingso after work I went straight to my club and set-up in a travel coridor that the birds have been using near the roost site. At 6;20 I could see three birds working their way towards me and noticed they were two jakes and a longbeard. When the tom got to 15 yrds he finally turned and gave me a shot. I put the site on him and let the bolt fly from my Tenpoint stealth crossbow. The bird jumped up and flew about 20 yrds into some laurel. The bird weighed 20lbs had a 9" beard and 7/8th spurs it was a good way to end my great season as I took 4 birds with 4 diffrent weapons. Sorry for the bad pics as the bird was missing half his tail and it's been a looong day!
