Type of tree?

Anyone know what type of tree this was?? Kind of looks like tree of heaven but it was 23" in diameter and heavy as hell so not sure if they get that big. Bark was really smooth and slick.

Looks like some sort of a hickory - white or mockernut maybe.

I should mention this tree was around 90' tall and straigh as an arrow, no limbs till the very top

Ok with your guys suggestions I narrowed down my search and think it's a    Yellowbud hickory

if the wood is extremely hard and dense - hickory.  I have some smoothbark hickory that match that, and it also looks like ash but think a hickory of some sort

Hickory is a great burning wood but it leaves a lot of ash.

Cross cut looks like ash. Bark is tough to tell. I’d say ash or maybe bitternut hickory

That's hickory.  Not ash, not Ailanthus, not tulip poplar.

Cut me a 2" slice where it's at its widest.  I'll come get it.  Think you're up here not too far from me.  Need a tabletop for my antique hickory table and rockers set.  I'll bring you a pound of deer sticks, and a 6 pack of your favorite beer if the stores are open.  2lbs if I can't get the beer.
