Preying Mantis Eggs Sacks

I had a pest control customer call me the day before Christmas a few years ago saying that she had baby preying mantis walking around her home. Sure enough, she was right. I gathered up as many as I could and kept them inside my house until late April and released them outside. I still have some around my gardens every year.

They are a beneficial insect so most likely farmers or gardeners started the rumor / old wives tale,  that they are protected and illegal to kill.....
