SPEARFISH
What Fish finder/GPS is on your boat? Do you like it and why? I may be looking to upgrade and looking for options? Do you have side side imaging? No, I do not want to buy your used one. toxo
Booner
I just put on Simrad Evo 3, 12" and 9". Had a little issue with the 12". Sent back to simrad. Haven't used them yet, but from a very knowledgeable fella, Mr Hammer, he recommended simrad and I trust his word. I have no doubt they will work far past my expectations. toxo
It all depends on what size boat. I have a Lowrance Hook 5 HDI on my 14 footer and love it. If you get a side imaging unit, you have to use a jack plate on your motor to let the side imaging work. If I had a bigger boat I would get the biggest screen. Tuck
My son has a helix 5 on his 16 foot sea nymph. We would like to upgrade to 7 for better features when locating lake trout in deeper water. The 5 has worked great for him for everything else. toxo and SPEARFISH

hammer4reel
Biggest screen you can afford and fit. Little screens don't let you use all functions available . I even have a 10" and 8 " on my jet boat. Both are hummingbird helix networked to spot lock ulterra trolling motor SPEARFISH 1 Captain Dan Bias REELMUSIC SPORTFISHING 50# Striper live release club. http://reelmusicsportfishing.blogspot.com/
Buck154
My 16' I have a Simrad Go 7 and my 18' I have a Garmin ECHOMAP 94sv. Have the side imaging but never used it yet. If on a freshwater boat I would use it. Edited March 7, 2020 by Buck154 SPEARFISH
