Indeed they are.  My one beagle got into a nasty mess with one, wasn't pretty.

When I was young I had one as a free roaming pet , he was a stanky and nasty little critter at times, after few years he moved back into the wild

Every so often they get into my dumpster and cant get out because of the metal sides......one morning a few years ago there were six in there........I usually put a board or a big branch in there to free them.......
