Is that a definite. What about bonus tag.

Why use the bonus tag?? Striper numbers are going down. Why help it get lower.

I keep one per year and try to keep 28 to 35 incher,  last year I kept none,  but only caught one in the handful of times I was out.  You can immagine the look of guys next to you when u release a 25 lb fish from the beach,  same to be said on the boat throwing a cow back and guys look at you like you have 3 heads..  there is no reason to keep that many I eat alot of fish but guys are keeping 2 every day when they are here

10 years ago I would go out front live lining bunker and catch 40 lb bass nearly every trip from Memorial Day until the end of June. The past few years, it was so hit or miss. In order to put a catch together, you needed to troll all over. I am glad this was done and hope the population rebounds. Only consistent bite is in the bay.

IMO sucks .

opens most fish from 5 years old to 13 years old to harvest ,

should have went to one fish 28/35.

and bonus tag only open for fall season .

going to out way too much pressure on those younger fish .

when they don’t see the results they want , next year don’t be surprised if they  way over tighten the regs

Better to take the younger fish over the larger females no?

Majority of the larger fish currently are in that 35 to 38” range,

so I don’t see where your getting a cut back .

top end fish should have been 35” so then fish over 10 years would be able to hopefully breed longer .

size limit lets you take everything between 5 and approx 13.
