Youth - First ever turkey!

Some days are diamonds! I owe a huge thanks to an old friend that took me and my son out turkey hunting. Friday night we pulled the camper and parked on the farm we were hunting on. A power cord gave us heat, and electric. What else could we want? We did rough it by going to dinner at the diner on Friday night!

Saturday morning we got into the blind by 5:15 and heard gobbles in the roost. Turns out neighbor also came out and birds shut down. We saw two gobblers but the area got quiet. We jumped to another blind and man it was awesome! Saw 5 hens and a total of 7 gobblers during the day. We stayed put and around 10 AM 2 hens and 2 gobblers come out. Gobbler was 30 yards out, it was exactly what we practiced for at the range for 2 months. Bam gobbler down!

18 lbs, 3.5" beard and 3/4" spurs. My sons first bird! He said his heart was jumping out of his chest!
