Alternative to Accutips

Gentlemen,

I apologize in advance if this was addressed recently but are there good alternatives to the Remington Accutips (which seem to be scarce) for the Savage 220? 2-3/4 inch or 3 inch doesn't matter to me. TIA.

They aren't hard to find, and Accutips in 3" are deadly accurate

Alternative would be the Remington Premier Expander also in 3"

A few years ago I couldn't find Accutips so I tried Federal Trophy Copper sabots. They did the job.  Eventually, I was able to find to Accutips and switched back.  Accutips give me tighter shot patterns.  I guess that's why Savage recommends them.    Good luck.

Remington Barnes Expanders have proven to be as/ or more accurate than the Accutips, and you’ll get better slug expansion and blood trails, that’s if you don’t drop them of course.

I have tried 4 or5 different slugs and most performed acceptable for killing a deer to 150 yards. The distances i normally shoot 50-75 yards all work great

My brother shoots federal trophy copper in 2 3/4"........very accurate out of his 220
