Tried the vaunted Lodi Pizza yesterday

Went to Micro center in Paterson yesterday for a geeky treat and made the most of the Christmas Gluttony Amnesty by heading over to the Lodi Pizza shop.

It was Old School - $2 a slice, I tried the plain and the Sicilian.

The crust on the plain was spectacularly crisp on the bottom but I found that the sauce was a bit watery for my taste.  The Sicilian was very good although I wish that the crust had been crispier. 

I then got a slice with pepperoni which was excellent - and the crust was again spectacular.
 

I will definitely be back there as soon as I find an excuse.

It’s a complete dive. That said I go there about once a month with my wife and a bottle of wine.

Grew up on the opposite side of the highway about 2 blocks . Ate Lodi Pizza numerous times per week, the whole town ate it on every Friday.....always get when I'm in the area.

You like to try different places like me, try LIBERTY HALL PIZZA in LAMBERSTVILLE , excellent

Ate there my whole life. The sauce used to be much better but it’s still a good slice.

Try Pompeii pizza in Bayonne...gotta eat it there...boxes ruin pizza making it rubbery due to steaming...
