Segment B Season Harvest

In the weather not surprised a lot of guys stayed home .tomorrow should be better then cold weather  the numbers will be low

I don’t think many guys go out during six day.  When they can go in October

The weather and no bear hunting on state land has impacted the segment B harvest. Most of the bears on legally huntable land have been taken (265).  There are still plenty of bears in the northern state parks and WMA's. I almost hit one with my truck driving through Flatbrook WMA last night.

BTW there was hardly anyone hunting in deer zone 4 yesterday. I hunted Pompey mountain yesterday afternoon. On the way there and the way home I only saw 2 hunter vehicles parked. Both were by the Walpack PO

The harvest  number are going to keep going down no state land as well as more people get there bears  and find out the work and money it take it will be one and done . The will be the core people who like to bear hunt to take a few.

That's why I don't bear hunt. I hunt alone, how am I going to get a 300-400# bear out of the woods. At my age I have enough trouble with a 150#deer.

Also the labor and as a result the cost of processing it is more than I can afford since I am retired.
