Had a friend kill a buck early in archery season on my property, went to the DNR office they said he could buy another bow license either sex. Went to Farm and Home they said you couldn't. Then back to DNR and they said no go. Very confusing. Residents can but not non residents was what I surmised from the discussions.

Yeah I was a little wild back then, I would stand in the middle of the road  when there weren’t any cars coming and shoot into the back of my garage so that I could practice at further distances.  Jeez time flies, Mike that was 20 years ago. I hope all is well with you and the family.
