Just saw the biggest red fox I’ve ever seen run past at 20-25 yards.  2x as large as NJ fox.

Mountain wind blowing around. Woods are loud with creaking wood. Cold, but warming up. I’m having a snack, Lou is about 1/4 mile from me on the mountain. He’s heading towards me but over me. We have another guy coming in from the west in hopes that we kick stuff up and push it towards each other.

Deer signs are showing up over 2500’, so we may have to hunt the peaks and ridges.

BIG Woods up here. The bucks have to be muscled up bruisers to get up these ridges and peaks...

Kicked up 2 huge partridges on the mountain. Several sets of deer tracks couple hours old....breezy, sunny and temps are not bad....other than the wind, nothing can be heard. Love it.

Nothing like the big woods, mans country for sure. Be carful Lou, the rabbits are pretty big up there too

I’ve hunted Maine once when I was younger And always wanted to go back.  The allure of just walking big woods following a track to god knows where and hoping to come in contact with a giant is awesome. Hopefully sometime soon
