Going to be a great trip.  I will be doing the same starting Monday about 150 miles northwest of you in Maine.  Best of luck!

These woods are the real deal as you are aware Mark. ALL new to me. Lots to learn! I think the GPS units will be our new best friends.

Also, I have the .223 as well as the monster .308 up here.

Good luck. The cabin looks like a piece of heaven.

Love EVERYTHING about this place Nick. From the woods to the people to the cabin, all good.

And I haven't even begun to follow a set of tracks yet...

Another 1-3" coming down now...Looking forward to the morning....

308 is about right for up there.  300 lb bucks are no joke.  A lot can go wrong with a 223 and 60 grain bullet with the quick shots you get up there.   Best of luck!

I was thinking the same on the .223. It's little light. Maybe if Lou sees a groundhog then, it'll be fine.

I have a compass and three ways to start a fire. We all have handheld GPSes that can share location with each other.

Up here I go into the woods thinking I’m not going to come out.

Don't forget your wits.  You can also just backtrack in the snow.  Got extra batteries in your pack for your flashlight?  Good luck this morning!  May the mountains be kind to you all.
