Not sure on the pigeon, tail looks long and dark, but I think you are right on two red tails. all other hawks would drop the bird and run instead of facing RT

It's hard to see in the picture but it's a square tail that's grey with a dark band along the tip, so I'm pretty sure it's a pigeon.

Love these reindeer games!!  Reminds me of days afield in my Rutgers ecology courses w Professors Wolgast, Applegate, n Locandro!! The Godfathers of wildlife management in NJ!!

I lived on Dr. Wolgast's farm when I went to Rutgers.

Lol. Me too!!  I think half of the division did at some point!!  Guna see him in 2 days....u have some stories I can remind him of??!!

I'm pretty sure that I'm the only "Rusty" to ever live there, but we taught hunter ed together, he and Cathy bear hunted behind my house, he killed his first winter bow buck on one of my management hunts, working on the Christmas trees, working out down in the basement,  I could go on and on.   Lots of fond memories.
