Back from ND Bowhunt (Success)

I spent last week in ND bowhunting with a friend in the cold.  It was -2 degrees the first day with a wind chill of -14.  This was a do it your self hunt other than the land owner showing us the property boundaries and a couple old stands that were set up.  We scouted it out the first day and picked a couple of stand sites.  It's basically all alfalfa fields with a river bottom along one edge of the property where the only trees were located.  We saw a bunch of bucks and many does each day while on stand or on the way in or out.  We were both able to take our bucks and could have shot many more, but you're only allowed one tag there.  Overall a great hunt and I'd do it again.

Very nice it sure is cold and windy out there!  What part of North Dakota were you in?  I've hunted near Minot out toward the Buttes.  Huge body deer and some nice bucks roaming around!

Awesome hunt.  Very cold, but a different kind of cold  I was actually born in Grand Forks, ND.  Beautiful country

I flew into Minot and hunted about an hours drive East near Towner.  Definitely big bodied deer.

How did you find the land, was it from one of those platt type books with all the walk in lands or did you just knock on doors...  Did you see any ducks?  Supposed to be some good waterfowl hunting in some areas
