That's awesome.  My lab is 12 now and I can't push her anymore.  People who don't own dogs will never know how rewarding it is to see your dog work and to bring a bird to hand that you might not otherwise ever find.  Good luck with your pup.

Every Flush and retrieve has it own uniqueness that stays etched in our minds. Great photo!

Batsto-I will go to my grave remembering a hen I clipped that flew 200 yards away and around a hedgerow.   My lab took off like a rocket and came back with that hen 5 min later.  I was amazed.  She is the best dog I have ever owned.  Another time I knocked down a rooster in waist high brush you could not walk through.  Dog was in there for an eternity and finally came out with it.  Without her I never find that bird.

Yup the retrieve right now is even more exciting then the point. Because you're watching that dog put it all together.  I've been unloading my gun dropping down and just praising the heck out of her. I'm just trying to take it all in and have as much fun as I can with her.

Dogs are just amazing. I have a few super retrieves that stay with me for each dog past and present. Special animals they are!
