Two small doe at 30 yards, other than that all quiet.

I moved a stand yesterday on a whim. I'm in it now. Only a spike at first light so far. Zone 8

Last day of rutcation, Zone 2 for the morning, then Zone 14 for afternoon, if needed. Forgot my haul line had to climb up with crossbow hanging from harness!

Mature buck breeding a doe in the backyard right now.  Blairstown.

4 undetermined deer I saw ended up being 5 deer, one being a good 8 pt chasing and grunting the other 4....well out of range

Lead doe is coming down hill literally right to me, I see the other deer coming, the buck is last and coming, the lead doe stops at 50 yards, turns back taking all the deer with her. I look behind me it's a fucking spike, he pushed her away....the story of my hunting year

Two does were under me for the last hour. My ass is killing me from sitting motionless.

After hunting every morning for 2 weeks straight I must of hit the snooze button this morning. Mad at myself right now but my body must or needed the rest at least that's what I am telling myself. Back at it tomorrow

At Black River... very quiet..few birds. Beautiful morning for a walk in the woods 😁

Finally settled in to a Zone 5 spot.  Saw a 6-7 active scrapes on my way in.  Used a drag line with some Tramp Stamp for the walk in.  Let's see if anything thinks I smell sexy enough to follow.  Going to start some calling sequences shortly.

I am trying. Passed a lot of bucks the last 2 weeks and had a screw up on a good one. Hell or high water I will fill the tag because trapping season starts soon. Been holding off for a good one before I burn a tag on a scrapper.
