dlist777 Posted November 8, 2019 Posted November 8, 2019 This tool is super-useful. It helped me get a deer out of steep ravine earlier in the year. Tons of other non-hunting benefits. I recommend it: https://www.amazon.com/885030-Cordless-PullzAll-Lifting-Pulling/dp/B00DAZ5PS4/ref=asc_df_B00DAZ5PS4/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=312158556709&hvpos=1o4&hvnetw=g&hvrand=16784111977245656210&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9007324&hvtargid=aud-801738734305:pla-434012675896&psc=1 Also: iluv2hunt 1
DBuck Posted November 11, 2019 Posted November 11, 2019 I actually thought about this idea using a come along.
Lunatic Posted November 11, 2019 Posted November 11, 2019 Friend of mine keeps a piece of plywood in the truck and is able to do the same with ease. No come along

No come along Just pulls the deer up himself? My buddy keeps plywood in his truck too for the same reason, he loads the deer on the wood, lifts and slides it in his truck. I'm pretty sure I would kill my back if I tried that.

Yes on his own and he is 68 years old. Your guys idea is actually good.
archer36 Posted November 11, 2019 Posted November 11, 2019 (edited) I had this problem years ago when I started hunting a new spot. It was the bottom of a ridge and the final drag was about a 45 degree angle for about 75 yds. It was a real PIA getting some of the bigger deer up. So I just bought a manual winch and attached it to a tree at the top of the hill. Works like a charm. Cheap and no power needed except your arms. I also bought one of these once I get it to the truck. Works great and only need one person. https://www.basspro.com/shop/en/viking-solutions-swivelift-winch-lift Edited November 11, 2019 by archer36
