Oh they are definitely rutting - just  not seeking. (Generally speaking of course) If one happens to luck into the next hot doe that isn’t already bedded with a buck - terrific.  That’s what I am hoping for.

Been out in 50 since 2. Jumped two does by the road walking in. Since then it has been the quietest sit so far this year.

One mature doe with 5 fawns in tow. I also see another more mature doe and 2 fawns on horizon. All emerging from thickest autumn olive you can imagine. Heading my way. Not hassled in the least

Just had a bear stoll thru. Then had deer coming over the ridge behind me. They blew at the bear and skedaddled. Gonna be one of those nights. So much for the stars aligning.

3 mature doe and 8 fawns total.  Fed in the green fields by me for a while then went back to safety of Autumn olives. Same group as last night only difference is no spike bothering them.

Jack stop whining, just because today in your big buck utopia is a bit slow doesn’t mean they aren’t up and about. Your flatulence just may have made them a bit woozy. I am sure when you arrow one at dusk your outlook will change.

11 pointer just made a scrape 150 yards from me. Came in to 15 yards but never turned broadside. Turned and walked away. How do I play this the next two days?

Just had a mature doe bring me a BIG body, tending six. Headgear wasn’t what I was looking for so I drove him nuts with grunts as she was feeding between him and I. In 45 minutes he gave me two shot opportunities . That was cool
