The Best Week to Kill a Buck 2019/20

Recommended Posts

We have a lot of members shooting a lot of good bucks this year.  Let's use this information to conduct our own little study and see if we can draw some conclusions.

If you or a friend:  have killed a buck this year,  kill a buck later this year,   or took a picture of a buck that you could have killed but chose to let go,  please post the following:

1.  Date

2.  Time of day

3.  Location:  North,  Central,  or South Jersey

4.  Buck's activity at the time  (feeding,  cruising,  chasing/tending)

5.  Optional - Bait or No Bait

6.  Optional - Any other observations that you feel are relevant

7.  Picture of the buck

At the end of the season we will organize all of this information and see if we can draw any conclusions.

Interesting idea, sounds good.
How many submissions per person?  You may have multiple submissions in the “could have killed” Category, and in kill category from the same person.
Is that acceptable or do you want a single submission from each person?

Good questions.

1 submission per buck.  If you kill 5 make 5 separate submissions.

"Could haves" only count if you have a picture from the stand.   Again, 1 submission per buck.

I could kill a 1.5yr old buck almost every time in the stand...

I think this study should be for mature bucks only.. young bucks come to bait as much as does do.

I'd think let's start the study st 2.5 or 3.5yr old bucks. No?

Anyways..

Sat oct 12th at around 6:20pm - could have, should have, but didnt - never ever shooting through mesh blind windows again. Non lethal graze.

Came to bait but didnt eat. Made 2 ground scrapes on his way in .. was gonna pass bait by and continue on his way.

Sat oct 26th at around 6:15pm - shoulder shot

came to bait
