Crossbow string

Does any body know how much it would cost to restring my crossbow.  Will probably hit up Simon peters.

... and if you do have the crossbow restrung by anyone but the manufacturer, is the warranty still valid?

Depends on the string you choose(cost) bit should be around $150 at most

Had mine done at simon peter.  1st time I had bought the cables cheap online and had them get the string and install both.  2nd time just had them get and install the string.  It was cheap to have it done, but can't remember the exact price.  No where's near the cost of a compound set up with all the things they have to put on a compound string and tune. 

Have them do it.  They are tenpoint dealers and the string will be tenpoints.  Thinking it was around $25-30 for the string, but don't hold me to that.

Just make sure you call what ever shop you are going to, to be sure they have a crossbow press and the exact string for your make and model......2 years ago, I had to call every shop within 60 miles of my house before I found a shop that had it and could replace it.

Thanks for all the information.  Its a ten point  so I will hit up Simmons  peters  and see it's a few year old and don't want to wait to long  I don't need it till winter bow

Just paid $100 to have my Stryker done with a Blackheart string

Had stock string and cables put on my Stryker Katana at Cheyenne Mountain just before the season. They had the string and cables in stock. I waited while they did it. Took about 20mins. I think the total was about $63 but it may be more if you didn’t buy the xbow from them...

That is one of many things I like about my Excalibur.  You can change the string in the field in minutes.  Never had to do it but you can.  Also every time I changed my string for routine maintenance the bow was still spot on.
