3Blade
First deer is the doe and first buck, a small 5 pt. Got them in Princeton early 90's. Used a Jennings bow and Thunderheads. Hitemnasty, Lunatic, hunterbob1 and 6 others 9 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

First doe was at the age of 12 in PA with my Marlin 336, 35 Remington. First buck was a scraggly 3-pointer a year or two later with the same rifle. Spike on 1 side and a Y on the other but to me it was a monster at the time. Dig out the pics Phil! not on the rug
Greybeard
My son's first. Set the stand up in a big oak for him. My first on the left, and my fathers first buck on the right. Took him 30 years to get a buck. He liked to sit in one spot all the time. One day in the rain, he had his tarp set up, having coffee, and looked up to see the 6pt standing there in front of him. He set me in a spot on top of a little knoll where I made myself a blind. Had the spike walk right up to 10yds. Lphunsjr
Been hunting for 5 years. Didn't shoot my first deer until the 2nd season and during Winter bow. Boy did I learn alot those first 2 years,,,,,,mostly what I was doing wrong. Following year shot my first buck, then last year my first Doe with the compound. Last month I shot my first buck with the compound. Gotta say I love the Mathews! Greybeard, LPJR, Rusty and 2 others

Killed my first couple of archery deer with that setup. Had it set up with an overdraw and drop away prong rest. Had rollers on the prongs that the arrow sat on. Arrows were about as short as my x-bow bolts. 36lb so they could pull it back, and the arrows flew pretty flat out to 20yds. Both my sons shot good with it. Bad64chevelle
Only have been deer hunting 6? Ish years. I didn’t grow up in a hunting family , a lot of it I’ve learned from trial and error or from some close hunting buddies now . I shot a doe my second year of hunting and never was able to recover her . It started playing with my head . Two years ago I got to join my cousin and his son up where they live in Maine for a week , with a buddy of mine . 6 days of hiking and not seeing a damn thing ! Lots of fun , saw some gorgeous country! But didn’t see a deer ! Last year I went back to bear hunt and harvested my first bear in September , and then again in November went back for deer. This time I brought snow up the coast and got to hunt the same areas in 2-3 feet of snow . Spent 5 days hunting / dragging others deer out , and not seeing anything for myself at all again . My second to last night when coming down off the mountain I took a spill and jacked my back up really bad . This turned out to be a blessing . I said , I’m sitting in the morning , not walking , I’m sitting all damn day ! So I set myself up in a chair , two minutes before legal light . Loaded the gun , and right at legal light this guy stepped out. I didn’t care , it was a legal buck , and all those miles of hiking and years waiting , This was the bitter sweet moment I was waiting for . Best part was , in my pain of my fall When I left that morning I forgot my rifle . My cousin gave me his daughters youth 7mm-08 that morning and that’s what I harvested the buck with . This year my .300wsm browning WILL be in my hands the whole time . Greybeard, LPJR, not on the rug and 4 others
